Now that I finished up Final Fantasy XII, I've decided to turn my attention more toward Xenosaga III. This games looks pretty promising. I've played about three hours so far and it's pretty awesome. It takes place a year after the first one and lots of stuff has changed with Shion and more stuff has unraveled with the gnosis. It looks like the gnosis is back to the focus a little of this one like in the first, the last game didn't focus as much on them. So far the story is getting a little confusing, mainly since I'm trying to remember all that has already happened. But they do have a sweet database of Xenosaga info to refresh your memory. This game looks about as good as the last, but the characters once again look different since there was a different character designer on this game. They still look realistic like the last one, but have new outfits and it seems the women in this one are all a little skimpier. There are nice looking cut scenes for the story, but there aren't any CG movies. But it still looks good. It seems like this one already has a better soundtrack then the last game, more in tune with how the first one was, with more of a Xenogears feel. The game plays like the others, just with a slightly different battle system that seems a little improved over the last game. But still lacks some of the cool stuff you could do in the first. But so far I haven't had much experience with the battle system yet. There is a lot of story right now. On thing new is how you interact with people in the game. Instead of walking up and hitting the action button, you can instantly see what they're saying when you walk by. And sometimes you can join the conversation to learn more. This is a little quicker and a new way of doing it, but I've noticed a few times I came into the middle of a conversation and had to wait for it to restart to catch it all. Besides that this seems like it'll be an awesome game to conclude the series.
